Four parallel workshops will look at different aspects of MSCA from a horizontal perspective, taking into account the entire environment of European and national R&I structures and funding.
What is the impact on the career of individual researchers of all scientific ages, and in how far are the career prospects increased further to participation in MSCA funded projects or fellowships? This session will take up existing research results and identify the challenges for further increasing the Impact.

This workshop will focus on the excellence of researchers funded by MSCA and their interaction with citizens and society. Part of the discussions will touch upon the question of the public view on researchers and focus on the uptake of MSCA research results in order to solve societal challenges and will in this context also discuss the future synergies of MSCA with the missions of Horizon Europe as well as with regional and national Programmes.

This workshop will address the involvement of the private sector and in particular of SMEs in the MSCA and how the innovation potential of project outcomes needs to be addressed, also at a regional and national level. It is expected that discussions will be around reducing obstacles for SME and enterprises to make best use of MSCA, the results of the Innovation Radar for MSCA and the potential synergies of MSCA innovations with other EU instruments and policies, such as the future EIC and EIT.

MSCA focus on excellent and open science and address any field of research and innovation from basic research up to market take-up and innovation services. MSCA furthermore contribute to the ERA in making it more effective, competitive and attractive. The Areas of Intervention for the future beyond 2020 reflect on the need for MSCA being flexible in responding to global challenges and referring to excellence and attractiveness for researchers at the same time.
The aim of this session on “MSCA nurturing Excellence through mobility – Fellowships” is to generate and exchange ideas on enabling researchers to move and collaborate between countries, sectors and disciplines. How to optimally deliver highly skilled talents to society through a fellowship programme? How to further strengthen mobility and career development for experienced researchers, including through inter-sectoral exposure? How to improve the action's attractiveness even more to both newcomers and excellent scientists while coping with the increasing demand?

The aim of this session on “MSCA Improving and facilitating Synergies – Synergies” is to generate and exchange ideas on how to adapt the current COFUND to be more effective under Horizon Europe. At the same time, this session will look at how to better create synergies and foster structuring effect together with other parts of Horizon Europe and other EU programmes (for example the ERDF, ESF+ and Erasmus+) as well as initiatives launched at national, regional or even institutional level. How can MSCA ensure optimal synergies of training and mobility programmes with national, regional, or institutional initiatives, across the entire ERA? What measures need to be taken to make the action more simple and flexible to facilitate greater take-up and impact on the ground?
